5. Want to remind you of our Homework Assistance Program offered after school to students that are struggling with their homework.  This program is run through our KIDS First Family Resource Center.  Teacher referral is required.  If you have any questions please contact the center @ 538-4082. 

Attention all 8th grade parents:  please read the following information about high school registration!

March 15^th – 8^th Grade Class Meeting in the Auditorium with high school counselor

March 16^th – High School Counselor will meet with 8^th graders in Science classes

March 22^nd – 8^th Grade Registration Night at 6:00

March 24 – High School Counselor will pick up schedules in 8^th grade Science classes.

KCCT Awards Night Banquet for students scoring proficient and /or distinguished on the 2008-2009 KCCT tests will be Monday, March 23^rd at 6:00 in the cafeteria.

 

Invitations were sent home with students on Monday, March 8^th.

 

The deadline to RSVP is Monday, March 15^th.

1. Cheerleading Tryouts will be March 29^th through April 2^nd.  Sign up outside the office and pickup an informational sheet.  As always an up to date physical is required to tryout. 

8. Heath Middle School Proficient and Distinguish Banquet is scheduled for March 23^rd at 6:00.  Come and join us for a celebration of your student and their achievement.  Invitations will be sent home sometime in the next few weeks. 

4. HMS Friends of Rachel Clubs are taking food and money donations for victims in Haiti.  Please send items such as peanut butter, diapers, dried beans, cornmeal, canned meats, etc... to school.  All money donations will be used to buy food items for victims. 

10. You probably have noticed some automated phone messages from the school.  We are happy to have One Call Now to help communicate events that are happening at school.  We will primarily use this system to notify you of important events as well as school closings. 

 

11. We hope that you have also been able to access Parent Portal.  This allows you to view your student’s grades, attendance, and any missing assignments that your student may have.  If you are experiencing problems with this program please feel free to contact us here at school or the McCracken County Board of Education.  Access to the parent portal is available on the McCracken County website.
